12 - Ulladulla, New South Wales, Australia

On the coast, 50mi. S of Wollongong.

The name "Ulladulla" comes from the aboriginal word Nulladulla, which means "safe harbour".
The town gained its first traffic light in the 1990s; one of its most notable landmarks is the Marlin Hotel with its big fluorescent marlin on the roof, which can be viewed from the sea.

101 - Upper Arrow Lake, British Columbia, Canada

Runs due N-S, just above (of course) Lower Arrow Lake. It's actually just a widening in the Columbia River — and since a 1960 damming they're actually one lake. Here's an old-time steamship on the Arrow Lakes:

75 - Uncastillo, Spain

In Aragon/Zaragosa, between Pamplona and Huesca. I like how the satellite view of the region looks like a polished slice of especially lively marble.

23 - Urn Island, Hong Kong

Not a lot of U's in SE China, at least in the pinyin system used in my Times Atlas. Urn Island is in the NE part of the Hong Kong territories. Seems to be the island now known as Tai Tau Chau (大頭洲). Here's some footage that may be of 大頭洲, or if not that, shot from 大頭洲 looking elsewhere.
